A primary care physician or gastroenterologist (digestive system specialist) can refer patients to the Miami Transplant Institute for an evaluation. Our intestinal rehabilitation team can draw on the comprehensive resources of Jackson Health System to provide multidisciplinary care—an important consideration because patients’ medical condition may affect multiple organs, as well as the intestine.
