Miami Transplant Institute’s Second Opinion program provides the opportunity for patients to be evaluated by our multidisciplinary team of transplant experts. A second opinion will help you make the most informed decision about your course of treatment and transplant options.

Benefits of receiving a second opinion at Miami Transplant Institute include:

  • We provide another opportunity for patients who have been turned down at another transplant center.
  • Transplant wait times may vary greatly between transplant centers. We have among the shortest wait times in the country for some organs. Additionally, patients can be dual-listed at multiple centers.
  • Our multidisciplinary team utilizes advanced techniques and can often transplant patients with complex diagnoses including some cancers.
